About Screwball Spaces, LLC
Screwball Spaces, LLC provides New York City visual artists excellent studio spaces & amenities within a community of working artists. Over 150 artists work on the third floor of a large industrial warehouse constructed circa 1923. Other features of the workspace include Sweet Lorraine Gallery, the Ceramics Arena, spray room & roof deck. Workspace is secure with 24/7 access, 6' wide hallways, communal carts, ladders, scaffolding, refrigerators, microwaves, vending machines, two T-1 wireless internet lines, slop sinks, new bathrooms, trash removal and recycling. Private studios have floor-to-ceiling walls and locking door.Artists are encouraged and supported in sharing their work voluntarily through Sweet Lorraine Gallery's shows, Screwball's Open Studios and Screwball's Holiday Art Sale. History
Screwball Studios, LLC was created in August of 2005 to offer clean & secure workspace to approximately 70 artists in 50 studios. Screwball Spaces, LLC was created in November 2008 to expand the mission of Screwball Studios by offering more amenities in even more affordable spaces.
